Polis berjaya menumpaskan sindiket pengedaran dadah antarabangsa selepas menahan 12 anggota sindiket itu termasuk dua warga Singapura dan seorang warga Thailand
serta merampas pelbagai jenis dadah bernilai RM48 juta dalam dua serbuan berasingan di sekitar bandaraya Johor Baharu, awal pagi semalam.
Pengarah Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Narkotik Bukit Aman Datuk Zulhasnan Najib Baharudin berkata serbuan pada pukul 3 pagi di premis dan rumah yang menjadi
tempat memproses dadah itu hasil kerjasama Jabatan Siasatan Jenayah Narkotik Johor dan Bukit Aman dengan kerjasama Biro Narkotik Pusat Singapura.
"Polis menahan dua lelaki dan seorang wanita di sebuah premis di Taman Tampoi Jaya dalam serbuan pertama sebelum merampas 47.21kg heroin, 1,980 biji pil Eramin 5,
11,316 biji pil ecstasy, 370gram syabu dan 1.54kg ketamin di sebuah rumah di Taman Iskandar," katanya.
Beliau berkata kepada pemberita di Ibu Pejabat Polis Kontinjen Johor, di sini hari ini.
Zulhasnan berkata dalam serbuan kedua di sebuah premis di Permas Jaya dan Taman Pelangi, polis seterusnya berjaya menahan dua lagi lelaki dan dua wanita selain
merampas 55 ketul heroin, 20.5kg syabu, 101,000 biji pil eramin 5, 11,000 biji pil ecstasy, empat kilogram ketamin dan pelbagai peralatan memproses dadah.
Beliau berkata, polis turut berjaya menahan lima lagi anggota sindiket itu di sekitar bandaraya ini hasil serbuan pertama dan kedua.
Katanya, polis dalam kedua-dua serbuan itu, polis turut merampas sejumlah RM1.09 juta wang tunai dan menyita lima buah kereta jenis Toyota termasuk Wish, Harrier
dan Altis serta sebuah kereta jenis Honda Accord yang diercayai digunakan sindiket berkenaan untuk melakukan jenayah tersebut.
"Anggaran nilai rampasan dadah itu kesemuanya sejumlah RM48 juta dan kejayaan ini merupakan kejayaan pembongkaran makmal haram memproses dadah jenis heroin dan
rampasan heroin terbesar dalam tahun ini setakat ini," katanya.
Katanya kesemua yang ditahan disiasat mengikut Seksyen 39B Akta Dadah Berbahaya 1952 dan Seksyen 3 (1) Akta Dadah Berbahaya (Langkah-Langkah Pencegahan Khas) 1985
dan Jabatan Narkotik Polis Diraja Malaysia akan terus mempertingkatkan kerjasama di peringkat antarabangsa bagi menangani ancaman dadah di rantau ini.
